We care about you, which is why we like our processes to be crystal clear from start to finish. Below you'll find everything there is to know about renting one of our homes.
If you have any questions that you can't find the answer to, feel free to drop us a line – we are here to help.
Why choose Rockett Home Rentals?
As the longest established independent letting agent in Newcastle-under-Lyme, we have built relationships with our landlords which means we can offer the best selection of homes in the area ranging from stunning apartments to beautiful country manors. We guarantee that we will be able to find you your next dream home to suit your needs.
We understand the importance of a happy balanced home. Our team are experts in matching properties to your lifestyle - whatever that may be.
We work solely in lettings and property management setting us apart from other agents in the area, which means that our team is dedicated to helping you find the right property.
As an ARLA accredited agent we uphold industry regulations which protect both the tenant and the landlord, and your deposit will be placed in an accredited deposit protection scheme.
Viewings will be conducted by one of our team who are knowledgeable about both our properties and the local area.
Should you choose to rent one of your properties, you will undergo an external comprehensive credit and reference check.
A holding deposit of one week's rent is required should you wish to make an offer to rent. This deposit will then be deducted from the final balance due. This deposit is non refundable should you withdraw your offer or fail credit and reference checks.
Client Money Protection
Client Money Protection (CMP) is a compensation scheme which recompenses landlords and tenants should an agent misappropriate their rent, deposit or other client funds. It is a requirement for ARLA Propertymark members to have CMP. Rockett Home Rentals are a ARLA Propertymark member.
Please see the section entitled 'Tenant Fees' for further information, however, please note there are no application fees.
We will conduct comprehensive credit and reference checks on everyone aged 18 and over who would be residing at the property, and these assess your suitability to rent.
Once the holding deposit has been paid and credit and reference checks have been passed, the final balance is due. This includes a dilapidations deposit and first month’s rent less the one-week deposit you previously paid. This must be paid in cleared funds ideally at least five days before the start of your tenancy.
We will draw up the tenancy agreement and present you with a draft to review around five working days before your tenancy begins.
We will meet you at our office to hand over keys and take copies of passports and any other documents required for right to rent checks.
Why tenants choose Rockett Home Rentals as told by Mamady Sidibe
The best agency I have used in the six years I have been renting properties in Stoke-on-Trent. They were extremely friendly and helpful when it came to viewing properties - knew what they were talking about and not feeding you with nonsense to try and get a tenant in quickly. Helped us all the way and stayed in constant contact right up until the move in date to ensure everything was running...
A wonderful company to let through, very kind and helpful team. They managed to find me the perfect property, and I look forward to being a tenant under them. I would thoroughly recommend them.
Rockett were very helpful in ensuring my house move was completed quickly in time for me to start my new job. From the first house viewing to the final signature, Rockett were constantly keeping in touch and ensuring the process ran smoothly and efficiently. Now I'm a happy tenant ready to start my new job.
Rockett have always dealt with my enquiries in a quick and efficient manner. They are more than happy to go above and beyond in order to make the rental process as straight forward as possible.
Rockett Homes has been a very good agency to rent from, because they take your problems seriously, deal with them promptly and reasonably, and provide a good level of service and customer care. They are responsible and consistent in their handling of issues and understand concerns from the point of view of the customers.
