Stoke-on-Trent’s Unit 1 Park Works is Raising Funds to Secure Its Future

As a big supporter of all things local, we’d like to bring this to your attention: Stoke-on-Trent’s Unit 1 Park Works is currently raising vital funds to keep it open during its off-peak periods.

This incredible indoor skatepark, which has been built especially for skaters by skaters, not only provides a great local space for people to hone as well as showcase their skills, but it’s also a thriving community that gives like-minded youngsters of different ages and backgrounds the chance to bond over a shared passion.

Originally developed by three local skateboarders, Unit 1 Park Works has flourished in recent years. But, keeping the skatepark in operation does come at a cost, and as this inspiring space was created with the donations of generous locals in the first place (as opposed to governmental backing), its future depends on us to pull together as a community.

During off-peak periods, lower numbers mean less income for Unit 1 and to remain afloat at these times (usually in the summer), the skate park has launched a crowdfunding campaign to secure a bright and prosperous future for the city’s in-line skaters, BMX riders, scooter daredevils, and skateboarders.

Unit 1 Park Works is a safe, secure, community-driven place for young people across Stoke-on-Trent, and it needs our help. To continue helping young locals follow their passion while forging friendships with other local skating enthusiasts and enjoying a healthy, positive, creative and challenging pursuit, Unit 1 needs more funding.

If you want to support this important local business and ensure it remains open all year round for the people that need it the most, please, if you can, dig deep and donate to the campaign - every penny counts.

Thank you in advance.
